Welcome to today's tech update! Big news in the world of Apple as rumors swirl around the upcoming Vision Pro 2. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, this new headset is expected to boast two significant advantages over its predecessor. First, it's rumored to be lighter and more affordable than the current Vision Pro, which starts at a hefty $3,499 and weighs up to 1.5 pounds.
But that’s not all! Gurman also revealed that Apple is working on a version of the Vision Pro that would allow for a wired connection to a Mac. This would enable "an ultra-low-latency experience" for users, especially beneficial for high-demand applications like surgical imaging or flight simulators. Gurman stated, "The idea is to create an ultra-low-latency system for streaming a user's Mac display," a critical feature that a fully wireless system can't guarantee.
While the current Vision Pro launched in February 2024, details about the release of the Vision Pro 2 remain under wraps. Additionally, Tim Cook is still eyeing true augmented reality glasses, but that vision may be "many years" away. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting tech development!
