Authorities are investigating the display of a sign from the hate group Patriot Front at the American Tobacco Campus (ATC) in Durham, which has been associated with white nationalism. The sign, which read "strong families, strong nations" and provided a link to the Patriot Front website, was promptly removed by ATC officials after being alerted to its presence. The ATC general manager emphasized that hate has no place in their community, and security has provided photos of the individuals they suspect hung the sign. Additional signs linked to Patriot Front have been reported in downtown Durham, and similar incidents are being investigated in Raleigh.
