The team behind Delta, the popular emulator that lets you play NES, N64, Game Boy, and Sega Genesis titles on iOS, has quietly rolled out a new update. Thanks to last month’s Epic Games v. Apple ruling, developers can now point users to outside payment options without Apple’s 27 percent cut. Delta leapt on the chance. As developer Riley Testut announced on Mastodon, “Delta’s latest update with our revised Patreon sign-up flow has been approved! We can now freely mention our Patreon without giving Apple 27% of donations.” Now, right in the app’s settings you’ll see a simple prompt: “Unlock exclusive app icons and receive early access to new features by donating.” Tap it, and you’re taken to a web page offering tiers with beta access, private Discord invites, and more—no scary Apple pricing screens required.
