That’s exactly where our speaker stood this month, reminding graduates that “no one knows what will happen with AI, including those who are building it.” But here’s the truth: as amazing as AI might become, “by definition it cannot be human,” and that gives us an unbeatable edge. Human connection—our curiosity, empathy and creativity—can’t be coded. So instead of fearing a robot takeover, lean into what makes you uniquely human. Ask big questions. Tell stories that move people. Build relationships that machines can’t replicate. AI might handle data, but it won’t replace the spark that happens when people connect.
