Raleigh Standoff: Police Negotiate Safe Arrest Following Domestic Violence Charges

In Raleigh, a standoff unfolded at a home in the Falls River neighborhood as police attempted to serve a warrant for Jeffrey Lynch, who faced charges of felony stalking and violating a domestic violence protection order. The situation began on Friday morning, around 10 a.m., with multiple police vehicles surrounding the residence on All Points View Way.

Chief of Police Rico Boyce reported, “The individual we came here to place into custody has been taken into custody safely. No injuries to him, no injuries to the officers.” After hours of negotiation, Lynch was brought out shortly before 1 p.m.

During the standoff, some neighbors were evacuated for safety reasons, and several roads in the area were closed. This isn’t the first time police have been called to the same home; they previously responded to a domestic issue involving Lynch back in August 2021. A divorce filing revealed that police were unable to locate him for a civil summons earlier this year.

As the investigation continues, neighbors like Evan Karas shared their shock, recounting loud noises and a sudden inability to leave their homes. WRAL News will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
