Hello and welcome to your weekly tech roundup. Today, Apple is pushing out tvOS 18.5 for Apple TV 4K, bringing a highly anticipated upgrade for home theater enthusiasts. For the first time, the Wireless Audio Sync feature can “automatically calibrate the synchronization of Dolby Atmos surround sound audio with your speakers.” Originally introduced in 2019, this tool uses your iPhone’s microphone to fine-tune audio delay, but now it also accounts for video latency over AirPlay or Bluetooth, helping you get your TV video synced up with Atmos audio. MacRumors noted that many users have struggled with Dolby Atmos syncing issues on soundbars and speakers, and the new feature finally offers a built-in solution. After updating, just head to Settings, then Video and Audio, and select Wireless Audio Sync to run the calibration process. That’s it for today’s update—thanks for listening, and stay tuned for more tech news.
