Hello and welcome to Tech Today. In a move that blurs the line between human and machine authorship, Anthropic has quietly launched Claude Explains, a new blog “written” mostly by its AI model family, Claude. Populated with technical deep dives—everything from simplifying complex codebases to data analysis—this space is meant to showcase Claude’s writing chops.
But don’t be fooled by the homepage’s promise, “Welcome to the small corner of the Anthropic universe where Claude is writing on every topic under the sun.” According to an Anthropic spokesperson, “This isn’t just vanilla Claude output — the editorial process requires human expertise and goes through iterations.” In fact, their subject matter experts and editorial teams “enhance” Claude’s drafts with insights, practical examples, and contextual knowledge.
Anthropic calls Claude Explains an “early example of how teams can use AI to augment their work and provide greater value to their users.” They plan to cover creative writing, business strategy, and beyond—all while still hiring across marketing, content, and editorial roles.
As AI-generated content experiments multiply across media—from Gannett’s sports recaps to Bloomberg’s summaries—Anthropic’s experiment underscores a central question: can human expertise and AI truly collaborate without one replacing the other? That’s it for Tech Today—see you next time.
