The six-time Super Bowl winner told WRAL, “I appreciate every day at Carolina,” stressing that his focus is on “putting together a good team and a good program and represent the school well on the football field.” Belichick said he chose UNC over another year off because “I love coaching… team building… the whole process.” He’s already sold out season tickets, landed a primetime Labor Day opener, and is adapting a pro model with over 200 years of NFL experience on staff. On the field, he promises that “the competition is always in the hands of the players” and that “success is consistency and the discipline to do it repeatedly.” UNC opens the season September 1 against TCU.
