Hello, I’m your host, and this is Minute Politics. Today we explore how Elon Musk got a black eye. After 130 days fighting the federal government, Musk appeared at the White House with a “big, fat shiner.” Theories swirled: disgruntled shareholders, angry regulators, even Trump voters. Yet none of them was to blame. Musk revealed it was his five-year-old son, X. “I was just horsing around with little X, and I said, ‘Go ahead, punch me in the face,’ and he did,” he said. Seated nearby, President Trump peered over and quipped, “X could do it,” seemingly impressed by the young kid’s strength. Earlier in the press conference, Musk refused to address questions about a New York Times report on his drug use. Instead, he offered this description of his bruise: “I didn’t really feel much at the time, but then I guess it bruises up.” With his Washington stint over, Musk left with his eye—and perhaps his ego—bruised. That’s all for today’s episode. Thanks for listening.
