Today we’re talking about Fable Books & Café, a new bookstore and coffee shop poised to fill “the literary void in southern Wake County.” Two friends and entrepreneurs have taken a 1,200-square-foot space in downtown Holly Springs and plan to stock it with 2,000 titles, a curated selection of local authors, and a menu of specialty coffee and fresh pastries. “We wanted to create a space where people felt welcome to discover their next favorite read,” one co-founder says. Shoppers can settle into cozy reading nooks or gather for story times, book clubs and open mic nights. The owners hope to open by mid-June, inviting the community to sip, browse and linger. That’s the buzz on Fable Books & Café—bringing books and neighbors together one cup at a time.
