Welcome back to One Minute Spotlight. Today, we’re talking about a new role for Christian Bale—this time, offscreen and in service of real-life superheroes: foster siblings. You might know him as Batman, but now Bale is helping build Together California, a foster care home designed to keep brothers and sisters together when they lose their parents. He tells CBS’s Tracy Smith that “it was heartbreaking to learn how often siblings were torn apart,” and he knew he had to step in. Inspired by his own experience growing up around close-knit family, Bale says, “These kids rely on each other—you can’t underestimate the power of that bond.” Together California will welcome up to eight kids at a time, giving brothers and sisters a stable home under one roof. For Christian Bale, this mission is about keeping families intact—and proving heroes can come in many forms.
