Welcome to today's episode! We’re diving into the exciting journey of No Show Hero, a startup founded by two moms from Wake Forest, Gigi Stephenson and Anna Young. They faced a common problem: scheduling struggles and the frustrations of last-minute cancellations. Gigi recalls their conversation, “I called and I was like, 'Hey, could we start a business around filling last minute openings?' She was like, I think so.” And that’s how it all began!

With a clear vision, they created a platform intended to help both service providers, like hair salons and therapists, and customers who need last-minute appointments. Gigi highlighted the challenge many face, saying, “It’s so hard to commit to something three months away… I have always been the one to find last minute opportunities for services.”

After piloting their concept in a Facebook community, No Show Hero is set to launch its app shortly, aiming to expand from the Triangle area to a national level. The duo is proud to have bootstrapped their venture, with Anna noting, “It’s kind of sustained itself,” thanks to valuable customer feedback from their network.
