Hello and welcome to today’s tech podcast. GitHub has just rolled out an AI coding agent inside Copilot that can fix bugs, add features, and even improve documentation on your behalf. Once you assign it a task, it automatically boots a virtual machine, clones your repo, and dives into your codebase. As it works, it “saves its changes as it works, while providing a rundown of its reasoning in session logs.” When it’s done, “the agent will tag you for review,” and you can leave comments that it’ll automatically address. GitHub says the agent also “incorporates context from related issue or PR discussions and follows any custom repository instructions,” so it understands both the intent and your project’s coding standards. The new agent is available now for Copilot Enterprise and Copilot Pro Plus users via the GitHub site, mobile app, or CLI tool. That’s it for today—thanks for listening!
