After discovering the building's significance during a chance visit, Stuller founded Save Historic Middlebury, aiming to preserve this one-of-a-kind structure, as he reflects, "It's so unusual... something's got to get done."

Despite facing setbacks with preservation applications and a looming demolition threat, Stuller remains hopeful. He states, "I think there’s decent odds we can convince the people that do control the building to change their plans."
